Jazmyn is a passionate advocate for individuals with special needs, drawing on over 9 years of experience as a dedicated K-12 Special Education Teacher in the Washoe County School District. A proud graduate of the University of Nevada and a lifelong Nevadan, Jazmyn’s commitment to this field was profoundly shaped by her sister, who lives with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and cognitive disabilities resulting from a stroke at birth. Witnessing her sister’s resilience and unique perspective has fueled Jazmyn’s mission to empower and support students facing similar challenges.Family and faith are the foundation of Jazmyn’s life, providing her with strength and purpose. These values inspire her mission to create inclusive spaces and opportunities where individuals with special needs can thrive. Beyond her professional life, Jazmyn finds joy in singing and drawing, using these creative outlets as tools for connection, expression, and inspiration.As the CEO/President of My Haven Sensory Playground, Jazmyn is dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching environment that celebrates the abilities of every individual, ensuring they have the resources to learn, grow, and succeed.
